City When i had the misfortune of being stuck in Seattle for a year, I found that the town was too small to have the conveniances of a city and too large to have the comfort of a town.

Bad Land

Theories After this weekend's twin peaks marathon, and last week's new Stephen King mini-series, I got to thinking again about Bad Land. That's when a place, regardless of any recent developments on the property, is just fundimentally bad. It's kind of like the opposite of "Holy Ground". Most people believe a place can be evil. How do I know? Because Stephen King wrote Pet Semetary. It's not that I think that Stephen King is a god, or even a great writer, but he knows what to write to reach the broadest audience. This might make him a sellout as a writer, but it makes him a great research tool. If he writes a story about Bad Land, and then goes and writes another one about a house on Bad Land, you can bet it's because most people believe in at least the idea of Bad Land.

City Ok, I knew I wasn't imagining things. Maybe since Seattle has in fact NEVER had any yummy girls, people have just blocked it out of their collective minds. Now they just look at me weird when I say I'm just not interested in meeting seattle girls. At least I know I'm not the only one.You don't have to read this whole page, if you want to skim it, start at the 5th paragraph down. http://members.tripod.com/~PeriM/Brides/Mercer.html

Theories Once I was at a bar. There was some random girl standing next to me. I hardly noticed her, and I don't think she noticed me either. I think we were both just chillin watching the dance floor. I never even looked at her more than to think "oh she's not my type", but we were standing there for quite a while. So totally randomly, this guy comes up to me and asks me if he can dance with my wife. He points to the girl. Do people get more stupid? I'm sure they do.

City Ms C_____,
You take the prize as the most inconsiderate person to park in front of my home.

Note:My roommate just moved here, and is just discovering why I complain about the people so much. This TYPEWRITTEN note was left on her windshield the other day when she parked in the ferry parking area. Someone went through a lot of trouble to figure out her name and type this petty shmeng.
