BiPolar Monday at Pike Place

Today was another typical ride home on the bus. At 3rd and Pike we picked up all of my friends at the needle clinic who need to ride 3 blocks to the next stop. A fight ensued on the bus between "Crack Chick"" and "Meth Boy". The bus driver did not stop and demand for them to get off the bus but instead said "this is a nice bus...everyone be nice".

At about that moment Crack Chick got on to the handicap ramp to exit, (because for some reason the handicap ramps in seattle are made for people so wacked out they can't stand) while about two seconds later she fell 2-3 feet to the ground. She was out cold.

The reason for this story is the fleece wearing hippy chick sitting next to me asked if anyone knows CPR? Are you kidding me? Typical seattlite. Idiot do gooders protect the rights of people disturbing everyone elses freedoms and liberties.

Another post mentioned Seattle is the most charitable city in the world. I agree it is pretty charitable but someone is going to have to start caring about the rights of people who just want to ride the bus in peace.

Mayor Nichols I have a suggestion, stop being a woosey (perfect NW man) and build Tent Citys south of the dome.

Notice that the hippy chick asked if anyone ELSE knew CPR.

She had that typical fucking Seattle attitude of trying to appear like a good samaritan without actually doing anything "hey, someone else risk catching who knows what this crackhead has so my dumb granola conscience can feel better.") What horseshit.

If she was that concerned about people's well being, maybe she should have taken one of those free CPR classes that the EMT's offer from time to time.

Any of those stupid most this or that statistics about Seattle are contrived to make these dumb, solipsistic people feel better -- without them ever having to get any real shit done.

Kind of on topic, another Shittatle anecdote:

Boarding an airplane with a bunch of people from Seattle going somewhere else.

This woman, who brought way too much shit with her, is standing in the aisle, blocking everyone else, the line's starting to fill up, the flight attendant's starting to rock the mic about how we need to get moving to be on time, etc.

Woman's standing there, looking at the ground, with this big ass carry on in front of her. Apparently, she can't lift it by herself into the overhead bin.

Pac NW man standing behind her, passive aggressively also just standing there, holding us up, not offering to help her out, looking at the ground.

Finally, with what must have been a huge social breakthrough on this woman's part, she turns and asks the man behind her for help.

"Oh sure," Mr. Now-helpful-that-he's- been-asked suddenly says and finally gets her shit out of the way. Flight ended up being 10 minutes late (no big deal, but the less time spent at the airport the better, right) because these people don't know how to ask for or offer help, they just stand there like zombies until someone tells them what to do.

I mean, how dysfunctional is that?
