Oh OK, I jumped the gun. My turn to apologize! The answer is yes, my answer was that people on the west coast are passive aggressive - it's not just in Seattle. They are like that all over the west coast.
I'm not sure why that is either. Life there is a lot easier than in the east, so you'd think the people would be more easygoing but they aren't. Too busy trying to prove something.
Add another one -
If you say you don't like NY or Boston, then a NYer or Bostonian will invite you to knock back a few while you bth gleefully rip the place to shreds saying how much you hate it. In Seattle, the slightest hint, even saying the east coast is more fun but not as beautiful, makes them hugely offended and upset. However, in CA they will admit that CA doesn't have everything.
