Your point about personal space on both coasts has alot of merit. People in the NW have their own traits and culture. I personally do not care for them being an east coaster. But that's how they are. I'm sure they think they're fine the way they are just like we all think our ways are. It's hard to be comfortable in a place that is opposite of where you are from. I kind of miss brushing up into people and feeling that energy, but I can understand it being a drag to someone from the west.
