Re: Now I'm SURE I'm not dreaming.

This is going to sound bad but I don't intend to go out of my fucking way just to mix it up with people here. I have had it! I am saving my money and time so I can use it wisely to get the hell out of this state. Think about it. All that money you invest in parking, buying drinks, fancy outings all just to make friends who will very likely leave Washington state never to return. I would rather use my time making additional money with a parttime job or side job so I can get the hell out of here sooner. I would rather live in a place where the majority of people are socially normal and things are not overpriced. Thank you.

I can answer that. I've been to a few such Space City mixer events and they're fun, more social than the regular Seattle "party" scene. I actually felt a bit spooked when men were actually introducing themselves to me, since stuff like this never happens here. But, I would also add that there were some clicks and some social recluses there as well, which has nothing to do with Space City Mixer in itself, but everything to do with Seattle. The experiences may vary - some mixers I made some new contacts, and other mixers I didn't meet anyone new. It just depends...
